Join us for a hands-on 4 day cooking camp
Our Mirepoix Chefs will teach you the basics while in a fun, learning environment.
Our Cooking Camp is designed for ages 9-16 years old. Classes are 2.5 hours long. Students will enjoy their meal each day in class or they can take home if they prefer.
*We will have 3 different groups in each class, matching students to their appropriate skill level- make sure to list your child’s age in the reservation
We invite 1 parent to come at 1:15 p.m. each day for students to present a small showcase of the daily meals prepared. Parents will enjoy a small sampling of the foods prepared.
Each student will receive a take home recipe booklet each day. At the completion of the week, students will receive a medal and certificate.
Cooking Classes will run each day from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. unless noted
All reservations should be placed for Monday, August 11th date on the calendar. The reservation is for a 4 days kids cooking camp to include Aug 11, Aug 12, Aug 13 & Aug 14
Cancellation Policy- Mirepoix offers a 4 day cancellation policy. To receive a refund, cancellations must be requested by August 7th by calling Mirepoix 248.541.1415. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. If canceling after August 7th, no refunds nor credits will be offered.

Day 1 Italiana
Group 1
-Stuffed shells with spinach and ricotta topped with marinara and cheese
-Penne with homemade tomato marinara sauce
-Crostini, little Italian toasts with olive oil and sweet ricotta cheese
Group 2
-Chicken Parmesan, baked chicken with marinara sauce, fresh mozzarella and parmesan
-Homemade garlic bread with herbs
-Spaghetti with homemade marinara sauce
Group 3
-Homemade Pasta – homemade linguine with alfredo sauce and baked chicken with herbs
-A second shape of homemade pasta, bowties, to take home
Day 2 Mexicana
Group 1
-Taco cups with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese
-Quesadilla with chicken and cheese
-Sour cream, avocado, and honey sauce
-All the taco fixings, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream
Group 2
-Chicken enchiladas, pulled chicken stewed in tomatoes with two sauces
-Sour cream sauce
-Red enchilada sauce
Group 3
-Burrito Bowls (practice knife skills)
-A layered bowl of rice, pulled chicken, seasoned black beans with peppers, pico de gallo, & Mexican cheese
Day 3 Chinese
Group 1
-Fried rice with chicken, peas, carrots, onions, and soy sauce
-Sauteed beef with soy sauce, broccoli, and rice
Group 2
-Lo mein noodles with marinated soy, rice vinegar, and ginger beef
-Ramen noodles with homemade ramen broth made from a base of onion, tomato paste, and homemade chicken stock
Group 3
-Homemade Sweet & Sour Chicken with orange zest and homemade rice vinegar sauce, served over basmati rice
-Hand rolled vegetarian Egg Rolls with a soy and blueberry dipping sauce
Day 4 Desserts:
Group 1
-Blueberry muffins with sugar and butter topping
-Cinnamon rolls with cream cheese and lemon frosting
Group 2
-Yellow Cupcakes with chocolate whipped cream and fresh berries
-Fresh trifle with berry compote
Group 3
-Homemade Chocolate Cherry brownies with chocolate sauce
-Stone fruit crisp with oat and brown sugar topping
