How does this work?

Dean and Luigi have both selected their best pick wine pairing for each course.  You will receive 2 wine pairings with each food course.  One picked by Luigi, One picked by Dean.  You will vote for your favorite wine pairing after each course.  We will tally your votes and announce who wins, Team Dean? or Team Luigi?  Oh The Banter!  7 total wines to taste and explore.


Reception Wine & Appetizer: Welcome Aperol Spritz served with Panelle con Ricotta Salata.  Fried Chickpeas with Ricotta Salata

Course 1:

Girelle di Mozzarella

Mozzarella wheel stuffed with prosciutto, sundried Tomatoes and Arugula

2 Wine Tastings

Course 2:

Busiate Pasta con Pesto Trapanese

Pesto Trapanese is a refreshing and delicate pesto from Western Sicily.  Fresh and flavorful sauce consisting of tomatoes, basil, blanched almonds, pecorino cheese, fresh garlic and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  Mixed with Busiate Pasta, an Ancient Grain pasta shaped like a long, thin corkskrew

2 Wine Tastings

Course 3:

Involtini di Carne (veal) with Prosciutto , Gruyere Cheese, Sundried Tomatoes

This tasty popular Italian dish consists of veal pounded thin and stuffed with Prosciutto, Savory Cheese and Sundried tomatoes.  Rolled together and sauteed.  Served with Baked Fennel

2 Wine Tastings

Course 4:

Delectable and Creamy Cannoli Cream topped with Crushed Cannoli Shells


This event will sell out fast! Seating will be in groups of 4.  Larger reservations available for bigger parties.

This event is an in-person experience.  This is a prepay event.  Tickets include tax and gratuity.  This event will take place at Trattoria Da Luigi in Royal Oak.  415 S. Washington, Royal Oak
